The Laboratory covers educational and research needs of Highway Engineering area. The areas of interest of the Laboratory are: Planning Land Transportation Projects, recording, investigation and assessment of the dynamics of vehicle movement and drivers’ behavior of road safety.

Comparative risk analysis of the road geometric characteristics by drivers of vehicles of various categories.

Laboratory Infrastructure: 

The software covers computational needs of Highway Engineering and it is primarily related to Road Projects Design (STREET 6.0, MOSS, In Roads Intergraph), Design of junctions and interchanges (Autoturn, MOSS), and to earthworks design and surrounding environment (LandCadd, Siteworks).

Research Results / Products: 

Formation of interurban road safety audits.

Formation of a model for recording and evaluating drivers’ behavior, using innovative methods and specialized equipment.
